Do you pack
lunches for your or children?
Use a Glad
7 x 7 square container with lid in place of foil
or plastic
wrap for sandwiches.
Use another
for veggies, cut up fruit or cookies. (Be sure lids fit tightly).
Can be carried
in a backpack, purse or tote bag.
I also transport
dry cereal for my breakfast
and use another
tightly lidded container for milk.
Saves money
on two different fronts.

That those
canisters that Clorox Disinfecting Wipes come
in makes a
handy holder for thos plastic grocery bags?
Because the
lid has sharp edges,
I removed
the lid entirely and stuffed bags into the canister.
(Holds a good
number and does not take up much space).
You can also
punch a hole in canister and hang on a nail in pantry or where ever.

Then all you
have to do is write in phone or e-mail if required.
Saves loads
of time.

Have wooden or plastic items like
figurines, picture frames
or mirrors that are scratched
or just desire a new look without
costing a lot of money?
Purchase a can of spray paint and
paint them.
Spray paint new comes in lots of
colors and textures for under $3.00.
When painting Mirrors, first cover
the glass with sheets of
newspaper as close to the frame
as possible.
If a little paint gets on the glass
or mirror part,
Windex or other glass cleaners and
a clean cloth or paper towel will remove.
Paint out doors as not to damage
other furniture or inhale paint fumes is important

That you can
recycle those 16% containers that CoffeeMate or other liquid creamers
come in to
transport your smoothies, milk and other beverages to work or whatever?
Simply peel
off the label and wash both bottles and cap and rinse well.

used for children's beverages for lunch or snacks.

Did you Know?
That you can
make a quick Asian Fried Rice from left over cold rice?
Fry a couple
slices of bacon until crisp.
Drain on a
paper towel.
(Leftover
cooked chicken, ham or pork will work also)
Note: If using
any meat other than bacon, brown meat in 1 tablespoon of oil.
Pour off all
the bacon grease or oil except 1 teaspoon full.
Dice one small
onion and two scallions (Long green onions) and
cook with
the rice in a skillet on a low heat
(use fork
to break up rice if lumped together).
Stir constantly
to cook onions and to keep rice from sticking.
Season with
a pinch of salt,
(don't need
much salt as soy sauce is loaded with sodium)
onion powder,
black pepper and soy sauce to taste.
Scramble an
egg or two if desired in a separate skillet and pour into rice/onion mixture.
Crumble bacon
or other meat on top and stir together.
Serve rice
by itself or serve with chicken or other meat.
Takes about
10 minutes to prepare.
