That shoe boxes
make great organizers for many of the things that we use,
like holiday
or other cards, necklaces, gloves, etc.
And they are
free.
Some are sturdier
(stronger) than others and work best.
Using the
lids will keep items dust free.
Try covering
them with pieces of left over wallpaper or colorful wrapping paper
to coordinate
with the rooms where you plan to use them.
Or spray paint
the lid and box.
The Sunday
Comics are fun for child's room to organize small toys,
hair items
gloves, etc.
Label the
contents so that you will know what's in them.
Stack them
in limited spaces or use them side by side making sure
that the label
faces the outside.

First,
I want to
apologize to my male fans as this tip is just for women this time.
I promise
to do a tip just for men in the future.
Like to layer
your fragrance like I do,
and your favorite
perfume or cologne does not come in a Body Lotion?
The do like
I do: Pour a little of your favorite lotion into the palm of your hand,
spritz a couple
of spritz of your favorite perfume into the lotion,
rub your hands
together a couple of times to mix,
and use like
you would any other scented perfumed lotion.
For a longer
lasting scent,
use a dab
of baby oil instead of lotion and repeat the same procedure.
Try it, it
works.

That those
plastic scoops (sometimes they are blue, green, white)
that come
in laundry soap powder are great for everyday uses?
First, wash
thoroughly (several times to remove all soapy residue).
Then rinse
several times until they feel rough to the touch.
Dry well.
I also do
the smell test to see if I can detect any soap smell.
Keep them
in your sugar, flour or other canisters.
Use them to
scoop dry pet food, or other items.
The smaller
ones (blue, white) measures roughly one-fourth cup,
while the
larger green ones about a half cup.
Check out
these measurements against your usual measuring cup to be sure,
if a recipe
calls for a specific amount of something,
example, 1
half cup of flour or sugar.

That those
plastic packages that curtains,
valances and
some blankets come in,
make great
traveling companions?
The ones for
valances are great for one pair of shoes (sizes 5-8),
toothpaste,
toothbrushes, comb and brushes etc.
They are also
great for lotion and bath items.
They have
zippers and in the event something spills in your suitcase,
it won't leak
on your clothing.
The large
ones can be used for soiled underwear or to pack several pairs of shoes.
Use them elsewhere
in your home for anything
that might
need extra packaging or organization.
They are reusable
and unisex.
Meaning men
and women can use them.
So the next
time that you purchase a blanket or curtains,
don't throw
these away.
They are great!

Love all those
sweet smelling shower gels like I do? They come in yummy
scents like
cucumber melon, vanilla or some fruit scent, and they have
started to
overtake your shower.
Do like I
do and purchase a medium size, plastic, flowerpot that has
the matching
saucer. They can be purchased at K-Mart, Wal-Mart or Target
and come in
several colors, green, wine, cream or stone -colored.
They can even
be sprayed painted, gold, black or other colors to match
your bathroom.
Use on the side of the tub or a shelf to corral your items.
The saucers
catch any foam or water from your hands.
Try it. They
are great fo adults or kids.

Does your kitchen trashcan have a
smell?
If so, after washing it out and
drying it thoroughly,
put a dryer sheet like Bounce or
some other brand in the bottom,
and line with your plastic bags
as usual.
You can do this to all the trashcans
in your house.
Replace dryer sheets as needed.

Did you know that the tin plates
that come with your frozen or
store-bought ready- to-pies, make
great saucers to put under your house
plants whose planters you may have
recycled,
or may not have come with a saucer?
After eatting your pie, simply wash
and rinse
(the ones without holes) well and
put under your flower pot.
They can be used for both indoor
and outdoor plants.

That if you spray your plastic containers
with PAM or some other
cooking spray BEFORE you put foods
like tomato sauce in them,
that it will not stain them?
Repeated soaking of already stained
containers
with Clorox will help get out much
of it,
but not eliminate all together.
Be sure to rinse well.

That a dash of salt and half a cut
lemon will make copper sparkle?
Use it on bracelets, pots and pans,
or other copper items in the home.
As always thanks

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Don't throw away those plastic bowls
with lids that
take-out salads or frozen entrees
come in.
Wash them and reuse for your children
or for friends to take home food in.
They are much studier than paper
plates and food can reheated
on LOW in the microwave.

Can't find your aspirin, or that
cream for toe fungus?
Are your junk drawers overflowing?
Is your jewelry a tangled mess?
If you answered yes to any of these;
then do like I do,
and use a Shoe Bag to organize all
of your stuff.
Yes a shoebag. They are not just
for shoes any more.
Things like arts and crafts, Beanie
Babies, makeup, you name it, many of us have it.
Shoe Bags come in many colors to
match your décor
but the clear pockets will make
it easier to see your items.
Use the two hooks that come with
it and hang it behind
the door in your bedroom, your closet,
etc.
I have one hanging inside the door
of my linen closet to hold extra
lotion, medicines, washcloths, etc.
Unlike many things, you can try
this at home.
