That much like duct tape, aluminium foil has many uses?
Don't have a saucer to put under that potted plant?
Tear off a piece of foil longer enough that you can wrap it completely around
the bottom and up the sides of the plant on all sides
a Crinkle it around the pot so that it stays and water your plants as usual.
Hate cold left over pizza and plan to throw it away?
Why not wrap the leftover slices tightly in foil (you may need two sheets) and pop into
your oven at 350 degrees for 25 or 30 minutes.
Be careful as the foil will be cut.
Tear foil away and you will pizza as good or even better than when
it was first delivered from your favorite pizza place. Enjoy!

Lastly, don't have any wrapping to wrap that last minute gift.
Wrap it in aluminium foil,
tape the ends like regular wrapping paper,
add a red bow or some other pretty colored ribbon
or bow and people will applaude your style and panache.

That a spatula (rubber scraper with long handle)
will allow you to get the last of  condiments like mayonaise,
catup and mustard from hard to reach jars and containers?
This often results in as much as a table spoon worth from the bottom and sides of containers.

October 2007
:::::::::::::::::::::
That a drop of nail polish remover can thin out your favorite nail polish if it has gotten thick?
Put a drop in the bottle, screw the cap back on and shake a few times.

September 2007
:::::::::::::::::::::
That Peroxide is a great substitute for Clorox Bleach?
Simply fill a spray bottle with 50% water and 50% of Peroxide and keep it
in your bathroom to clean and disinfect it without harming your septic
system like other cleaners often do.

:::::::::::::::::::::
Do you have a perfume that you loved at first and now you don't really care for it,
and it cost too much to throw away?
Why not use it as a bathroom spray or room deoderant?
Scents like vanilla, musk or floral combinations work well in the bath and in your bedroom.
Try spritzing a little on the sheets in your guest room to make guests feel extra special.
But only a "little" in the event your guest have allergies.

:::::::::::::::::::::
That Peroxide will take out blood stains.
Simply pour a few drops on the stain.
Let sit for a few minutes.
You may need to rub the Peroxide on the spot for a few minutes with your fingers.
It should take out the spot.

Want a nice picture frame without investing a lot of money?
Why not purchase a picture that has a nice frame at
one of the discount stores like Family Dollar, K-mart or Wal-Mart
(the picture can be ugly, or a design not of your liking).
Simply replace the ugly one in the nice frame with the one you love.
In the end you get a nice frame for little money.
If the old picture included a matting (card board frame around it),
use it on your new picture.
The cardboard can be trimmed to fit your picture and
it may be spray painted a color to complement your artwork as well.

Don't throw away those small brown plastic bottles that medicine comes in.
Remove the labels, wash and rinse thoroughly and reuse them for the following:

1.  Small Sewing Kit.
Cut a small piece of cardboard to fit inside the container.
Wind several strands of thread in basic colors:
white, black, gray, red etc. around the cardboard.
(Wind 20 or 30 times around cardboard).
Insert a sewing needle or two inside the thread/cardboard combination.
Add several sizes of buttons in select colors.
Also add a couple of different size Safety Pins.
Screw the cap back on. You can carry your kit in your purse.
Or leave in your car or desk drawer at your office for emergency sewing repair.

2. Use clean bottles to collect loose change that collects in the bottom of purses or pockets.
The larger ones can hold a number of quarters.
You can also keep in purse, car or desk.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
That droping three or four Alka Seltzer tablets in water will clean
'hard to reach' items like tall vases,
thermos bottles and other long neck containers?
Simply put the tablets in a water to cover the inside of the
container and let soak for about one hour (longer if necessary).
Then rinse well.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Did you know that using newspaper to dry mirrors and windows will alleviate streaking?
Wash mirrows or windows as you normally do,
then crumple up several sheets of clean newspaper
and wipe as you would be a cloth and admire the shine.

February 2007
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
That brushing your diamond rings and other precious stones with a dab of
toothpaste on an old tooth brush will give them a wonderful shine?
Rinse under water and the sparkle will blind you. Try it, it works.

January 2007
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
That by adding several drops of Baby Oil (any brand) to your favorite hand
and body lotion gives your dry skin some extra lubricant.
Simply remove the cap from both bottles and squirt one or two squirts of Baby Oil into
the lotion.
Replace the caps  on both bottles and shake up your Baby
Oil/Lotin mixture and apply as usual.
(Really combats the hard water and harsh temperature equals dry skin
issues from which I  and others suffer in the winter).
