Do you frame your own pictures or art work and don't have a board?
Why not use card ordinary pieces of card stock
(heavy wieght paper 8 1/2 x 11)
for small pictures and poster board for larger pictures?
Both come in many colors and can often be bought by the sheet at
scrap book places or office supply stores.

Simply make a newspaper template replicating the size
of your photo/picture that you want to frame.
Cut out the template on your mat board and lay over actual picture.
Use tape on the back side of picture and
matting so both stay before putting matted picture in fram.

Have items that need mending or
projects that require sewing and you don't have a sewing machine?
A fabric glue found at places like Hancocks or JoAnn's will do the trick.
It is colorless, quick and easy.
This glue will also withstand regular laundering or dry cleaning.

That paste shoe polish can also be used to cover stratches in furniture?
Dab the cloth in the polish like you would if
you were polishing your shoes and rub over the scratches.
Dark wood depending on the darkness may require either brown or black or a little of both.
Buff afterwards and scratches should disappear.

What to do with those souvenir cup wraps that are used to keep drink cups cold
(They are usually made of foam with logos of businesses on them).
Why not keep it in the cup holder in your car to corral ink pens,
tissues, note pads or cushion cell phones?

Love candles and don't have candle holders?
That pretty saucers whose cups are broken/ missing make excellent candle holders?
For example a rose patterned saucer paired with a rose or ruby colored candle would be pretty. Glass or metal coasters also will work.
In addition small tea cups also make pretty candle holders,
and like the saucers mentioned above can be purchased at Thrift Stores for a dollar or less.
Hard cardboard or items that you sure are safe to use should be avoided as not cause a fire.

Have a smelly sink or garbage disposal?
Grind up some lemon peels.
Don't have lemons, then pour a third box of Baking Soda down the drain.
Wait for a short time and flush with a little warm water.
Use an entire small box of Baking Soda if the smell persists.

That wine corks make excellent pin cushions?

Need a way to display your necklaces and keep them from getting all tangled up?
Why not use one of those wooden racks
with pegs that are often used to display baseball caps?
These racks can be a single row or racks with a double row of pegs.
(ususally found at places like Target or Wal-Mart.)
They can be hung on the inside of a closet wall or spray painted
or painted to match a  color scheme
or used as an art piece on the wall in your bedroom
or dressing room once your colored necklaces are displayed.

Have a lot of invitations to mail or too many envelopes to lick and seal?
Clean out a used medicine bottle with lid.
Then cut a household sponge (any color) into about a 1 inch thick strip
(from the short end) so that it fits inside the medicine bottle.
Wet the sponge lightly with water (not dripping)
and run it across the glue strip of your envelopes and seal them.
Can seal many envelopes before rewetting sponge.
Place the sponge in your medicine container
and put the cap on until the next time you need it.
Keep with other desk items. It works great.

In a fragrance rut and don't know what's new or what new scents will work for you?
Then do what I do,
and tear out those perfumed inserts that come in mailers from Department Stores.
Open up the little scent packets,
rub them over your wrists and wear for a time to see if you like the scent or
if it smells good on you.
I also use these scented papers in my lingerie drawer.
I also use the male cologne scented papers in my spouse's underwear and sock drawers.

That red wine vinegar and baking soda will unclog a clogged drain?
Pour in a half to a whole small box of baking soda followed by half a bottle of vinegar.
Let this work for half an hour to an hour, and follow with hot water.
Repeat this every couple of months to keep drains flowing.

Did you know that a dab of Baby Oil added to your hand
and body lotion will help combat dry skin all day?
This is especially true if your experience very dry skin in the winter months like I do.
You can either add the Baby Oil (any brand) directly to the bottle of lotion
and shake it well or mix a dab of both in your hand,
rub together and apply to body parts.
